A
research report informs the reader completely and accurately about an
investigation and its outcome without belaboring the issue. There are instances
when a research report is the only source of information about a specific
problem area. In psychology, research reports are written in APA style
[American psychological association style] and British/Turapian style.
Deductively, a research report is a formal and accurate statement or document
that provides information about the processes and outcome of a research.
OUTLINE OF A RESEARCH REPORT
The
outline of a research report makes lucid the processes involved in carrying out
a research thus it informs both the elite and subs about the steps that are
germane to the research process.
A complete research report outline includes

By line: Authors name and institutional affiliation e.g. the research
group, the university.

Act of certifying: This attest to the truth, certainty of the
work as meeting up with standards.

Dedication page: This page commits or devotes the work of the
project to the source of inspiration.
Acknowledgement page
·
Acknowledgement: Recognizes a fact or truth as to admit and to
declare the thankfulness of the respective assistant and suggestions.
Abstract page
·
Abstract: This page gives an idea germane to the work and a general overview
of the research work.
Table of content page
·
Table of content: Lists’ entire concept and context in an
outline format.
Introduction: this usually
takes one quarter of the paper of the thesis, it contains---the purpose, the
background, related research and include……..

brief information is given as pertaining to the research work serving as a
deduction base on the collected data and relevant literature with
recommendation to curtail and tackle the issues or flaws in the research.
